The Anaheim Ducks weren't happy about the hit on Cam Fowler last night at the Honda Center and they may have very good reason for being upset.

A breaking news report from Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register has revealed that defenseman Cam Fowler will now need to undergo an MRI in order to determine the severity of the damage to his knee.

Fowler was injured during the third period when Calgary Flames' captain Mark Giordano delivered a knee-to-knee hit, one that left Fowler in visible discomfort that seemed to be focused around his knee.

Fowler leads all Ducks in ice-time and is arguably the franchises most valuable player overall, losing him just before the playoffs would be devastating.
