BREAKING : Playoff contenders' goalie out indefinitely
In house

The Playoff just started and there's already a major casualty on the injured roster.

We just learned that Matt Murray, Penguins #1 goalie for the Playoffs, was out ''with no timeframe''.

Normally, teams keep the exact injury out of their comments, using generic terms such as '' lower body injury ''. However, there's always a semi-clear timetable. ''Day to day, week to week, out for 4-6 weeks'' and such. In Murray's case, not specifying an expected time of return reveals a lot about the seriousness of his condition.

As a reminder, he took part in yesterday's warm-up and was supposed to be the lead goalie against the Blue Jackets. However, he was hurt in a weird sequence and he left the ice for the night. Marc-André Fleury is now considered the main goalie until further notice.

Yet another injury falls on the Penguins head in a disastrous season.
