Breaking: Predators make a big change to the line up just before puck drop.

The Nashville Predators have made a big change to their line up this evening.

Just moments before the start of a big Game 5 against their first round opponents the Chicago Blackhawks, the Predators made veteran center Craig Smith a healthy scratch.

Instead the Predators will dress another veteran in 33-year-old winger P.A. Parenteau, one of Nashville's acquisitions prior to the National Hockey League's trade deadline.

No word on the motivation for this move.
