Breaking: Preds assign top prospect Tolvanen to AHL

The kid looked pretty good in his short stint, does this mean Turris is back?

The Nashville Predators announced this morning that rookie forward Eeli Tolvanen has been assigned to the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals.



The 19 year old forward put up a goal and an assist in four games with the Preds during his most recent stint, but has four goals and 11 points in 21 games with the Admirals this season. The top prospect from Finland has looked good in his short time in the NHL, so expect to see him back up with the big club before season’s end. It’s also worth noting that Tolvanen is eligible to join Team Finland for the upcoming World Junior Championships in Vancouver/Victoria.

Meanwhile, Tolvanen’s demotion appears to point to a return for injured forward Kyle Turris. Turris hasn’t played since suffering an injury on this hit back on November 28th:
