Breaking: Preds call up one, place another on IR

The Nashville Predators have announced that they’ve called up forward Frederick Gaudreau from the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals and placed defenseman Yannick Weber on injured reserve.

In three games with the Admirals this season, Gaudreau has three assists and four points. Last season the Bromont, Quebec native scored 25 goals and 48 points in 66 games with the Admirals before being called up for nine games with the Preds. The center was a surprise contributor in the team’s run to the Stanley Cup Final as he scored his first three NHL goals in the Cup Final.

Weber, a 29-year-old defenseman, has played just four games this season, and is the 3rd defender to go down with an injury this season for the Preds after Ryan Ellis and captain Roman Josi.
