The Nashville Predators are already down a game in their first round playoff match up against the Dallas Stars in the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs and it looks like things are only going to get tougher from here for the Predators.

According to a breaking news report from Nashville Predators' insider Adam Vingan of The Athletic, the Predators will be without veteran forward Brian Boyle tonight as a result of an undisclosed illness. The way this report was worded by Vingan would appear to indicate that he may not be fully confident in the reasoning the Predators are giving for Boyle's absence, although that may just be me reading too much into things at this time.

What is certain however is that Boyle will in fact miss tonight's game and as a result it will be 26 year old forward Rocco Grimaldi who will be stepping in this evening for the Nashville Predators. That should probably be a cause for concern here for the Predators as not only is Grimaldi a downgrade from Boyle, but he also has not played in a single playoff game since all the way back in April of 2016 when he was still a member of the Floirida Panthers organization.

Nonetheless this is playoff hockey and the Predators will have to make due with what they have tonight.
