Breaking: Price drops Hurricanes' Foegele with huge hit behind the net and fans are loving it!

Fans in Montreal are seeing quite a physical game on Tuesday night as the Canadiens are facing the Carolina Hurricanes at the Bell Centre. And so, it meant that star goalie Carey Price had to get involved.

Literally.

During the second period of the contest, Price wiped out Hurricanes young forward Warren Foegele way away from the puck behind his own net. Of course, if the roles had been reversed, Foegele would have gone to the penalty box for interference. However, it almost seemed like the officials were so surprised to see Price getting physical involved in that play, that they let it pass.

According to team insider Eric Engels of Sportsnet, the star goalie was inspired by Shea Weber's return for him to deck Foegele behind the net.

Once the replay of the sequence was made available for all the Bell Centre to see, fans gave the netminder an ovation and started cheering "Carey, Carey, Carey!" to let him know how impressed they were by the huge hit.

Even the young Foegele seemed shocked by Price's move as he could be seen laughing on the ice following the hit.

While it was great to see Price getting physically involved in the game, the Canes took a 2-0 lead moments later.

At least, fans can reminisce on this wonderful hit and enjoy Price' physical performance over the one in net.
