Breaking: PTO invite Chris Stewart signs NHL contract

This just in, the Philadelphia Flyers have reportedly signed training camp invite Chris Stewart to a one year, two-way contract worth a $750,000.

Check it out:

The 31 year old veteran forward evidently did enough training camp and preseason to impress new Flyers head coach Alain Vigneault and has been rewarded with an opportunity to make an NHL comeback.

Stewart played just 23 games last season with the Nottingham Panthers of the EIHL in Great Britain last season, scoring six goals and 13 points. He last played in the NHL during the 2017-18 season when he split the campaign between the Minnesota Wild and Calgary Flames.

The 6 foot 2 inch, 240 pound right winger has 160 goals and 321 points in 652 career NHL games. Welcome back, Stewie!
