Breaking: Puljujarvi threatens Oilers, plans to withhold services

There have been rumblings for weeks now that former 4th overall pick Jesse Puljujarvi has demanded a trade from the Edmonton Oilers, but today the player’s agent has officially confirmed the request. When asked about the trade demand point blank, Puljujarvi’s agent Markus Lehto said:

”It doesn’t make sense to go back where we were last season, it’s not good for either side. Discussions about parting ways have been going on for weeks already. Jesse needs a fresh start and it’s nothing against the Oilers”.

Check it out:

And if you think it’s all hot air, just check out this next quote from Lehto courtesy of Oilers insider Mark Spector:

"If he doesn’t get traded," Lehto confirmed, "he will play in Europe next year. He will not play in Edmonton."
"At the end of the day, if you can do a deal that makes sense for the Edmonton Oilers, you do it," said Holland, who spoke on Wednesday morning with Lehto. "If you can’t, you go over (to Europe) and watch him play, and hopefully he scores a lot of goals over there."

Wow… the kid is DONE in Edmonton. New GM Ken Holland certainly has his work cut out for him this offseason.
