Breaking: Radko Gudas receives major suspension from the NHL.

The National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety has handed down a huge suspension.

According to a report from the NHL, Philadlephia flyers' defenseman Radko Gudas has received a six game suspension for his high hit on Boston Bruin Austin Czarnik.

Gudas was offered an in-person hearing but declined the offer, the is a repeat offender under NHL rules and this was his second questionable hit of the preseason, all factors that likely contributed to the length of the punishment.

Not only will Gudas miss the six games, but he will forfeit a whopping  $245,121.95 as a result.
