Breaking: Rangers to retire Jean Ratelle's iconic #19

The New York Rangers have announced that they will retire Hall of Famer Jean Ratelle’s iconic number 19 in a pre-game ceremony in February.

Ratelle is undoubtedly one of the greatest Rangers in team history, having played for the organization for 15 seasons in the 1960s and 70s. The veteran of 1281 NHL games scored 491 goals and 1267 points before retiring in 1981. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1985 and was recently named one of the NHL’s 100 Greatest Players in History.
