In a busy day for the Red Wings, eight more players were cut from the team's roster.

After placing 5 players on the waiver wire earlier today, the Detroit Red Wings continue to trim their roster ahead of their preseason finale tonight against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The following players have been assigned to the Grand Rapids Griffins:
Louis-Marc Aubry, Tyler Bertuzzi, Kyle Criscuolo, Evgeny Svechnikov, Matt Lorito, Joe Hicketts, Robbie Russo, and Nathan Paetsch.
