This just in, according to a report from Los Angeles Kings insider Dennis Bernstein of The Fourth Period, the Kings have hired former Philadelphia Flyers general manager Ron Hextall to act as a part-time advisor.

Check it out:

Hextall was, of course, the Kings’ assistant GM under Dean Lombardi during the team’s two Stanley Cup championship in 2012. After a legendary playing career with the Flyers during the 1980s and 1990s, Hextall returned to the Flyers organization in 2013 and was named the team’s general manager in 2014.

He was unceremoniously fired from his job with the Flyers in November, 2018.
