Breaking: Rumors of a huge deal between the Penguins and Habs.

One of the National Hockey League's very best insiders has just dropped a bombshell of a trade rumor.

According to a report from TSN insider Darren Dreger, the Pittsburgh Penguins, and more specifically general manager Jim Rutherford, have been searching for a center on the trade market for some time and they may have found a potential dance partner.

While the Penguins were initially connected to the rumors surrounding Colorado Avalanche star forward Matt Duchene, Dreger does not believe that there is a financial fit for the Penguins on that front, however a new option has emerged.

"But Alex Galchenyuk from the Montreal Canadiens, his name has surfaced," said Dreger on TSN's Insider Trading.

Dreger believes that this is a far more likely option than Duchene, and upon reflection he feels that fans shouldn't be shocked if the Canadiens do pull the trigger on a trade involving Galchenyuk.

"We shouldn't be overly surprised by that given the fact that more often than not Galchenyuk seems to be in the dog house there, and given the play of the Montreal Canadiens of late, perhaps there is a fit there that makes sense."

This would be a massive deal, one that would seemingly strengthen the defending Stanley Cup Champion depending on what they would be giving up for Galchenyuk, and one we will be keeping our eyes open for.
