Breaking: Rumors of big trade including veteran player and first round pick going to Vegas.

It will come as absolutely no surprise to anyone to learn that the Las Vegas Golden Knights are working on a trade, but this is a big one. 

According to Sportsnet Elliotte Friedman via RCN, there is talk of a potential deal in place between the Las Vegas Golden Knights and the Columbus Blue Jackets, a move designed to take some cap pressure off of Columbus.

According to Friedman, the deal would see veteran David Clarkson traded to Las Vegas, and in exchnage for taking on that bad contract, the Golden Knights would also receive a first round draft pick from the Jackets. 

It's a huge deal for Vegas who will effectively get a high-quality pick for cap space they likely wouldn't have been using this early anyways. For the Blue Jackets however it leaves one big question, how exactly do the Blue Jackets intend to put that cap space to use after a strong bounce back season?
