Breaking: Scott Stevens reveals where he is going after resigning as coach of the Wild!

Well it didn't take very long to get an answer.

Earlier today we reported that legendary National Hockey League defenseman Scott Stevens was stepping down from his position as the top assistant coach under head coach Bruce Boudreau of the Minnesota Wild, and now we know where he is headed.

According to a report from Mike Russo of the Star Tribune, Stevens is headed back to New Jersey, although at this time it has only been confirmed that he is moving back to be closer to his family.

"My family is here (in NJ/NY) and I just want to be closer. I need them and they need me," said Stevens.

There has already been rampant speculation regarding whether or not Stevens will be taking on a new role with a rival NHL team, and if he is indeed moving back to the New Jersey area, that would leave three teams as the leading candidates. 

The three teams of course being the New York Islanders, New York Rangers and the New Jersey Devils, all of which would allow him to remain close to family in the area.
