Breaking: Senators make a major change to their line up this evening.

The Ottawa Senators are bringing in a player this evening that they hope will be a large part of their future moving forward.

According to a breaking news report from Senators communications, former 2015 Ottawa Senators first round draft pick Thomas Chabot will be making his season debut this evening after being injected into the line up by head coach Guy Boucher.

This will be just the second career NHL game for Chabot, an achievement that many suspected would not come with the Ottawa Senators at all earlier this summer.

While Chabot may not be a household name to many in the NHL, he is a highly touted prospect. So much so in fact that there were rumors earlier this summer that the Colorado Avalanche were prepared to make a deal for Matt Duchene if the Senators were willing to give up Chabot, but that deal was reportedly shot down by the Senators.

It's a very exciting night for fans in Ottawa, and even more so for the 20-year-old defenseman.
