He's a CRITICAL player, especially in the eyes of his head coach.

Fresh on the heels of their series opening victory over the New York Rangers last night, Ottawa Senators head coach Guy Boucher will have a difficult lineup decision to make for game 2 in Ottawa. Injured forward, and one Boucher’s most trusted players, Tom Pyatt is set to return to the lineup after rehabbing a head injury sustained in the team’s first round playoff matchup against the Boston Bruins.

However, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports that Boucher may elect to keep Pyatt out of the team’s lineup for fear of ruining a good thing. “I don't see the urgency to mess with that," said Boucher. It appears that Boucher may subscribe to old saying, “never change I winning lineup.”

If he doesn’t find a way back into the lineup, it’ll certainly come as a disappointment for Pyatt, but it’s likely that he’ll find his way back in before everything is said and done for the Senators this season.
