According to a report from TVA reporter and NHL insider Renaud Lavoie, the Ottawa Senators have recalled top prospect Thomas Chabot from the AHL’s Binghamton Senators.

Chabot, a 20-year old defenseman, was drafted 18th overall by the Sens in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. Since then, he’s gone on to establish himself as one of the most dominant junior hockey players in the world. He won a QMJHL championship with the Saint John Sea Dogs and was named MVP of last January’s World Junior Championships.

He was a surprise cut from Sens camp earlier this month, but with two points in two AHL games and the return of captain Erik Karlsson up in the air, Chabot will finally get his chance in the team’s lineup.
