BREAKING: Sharks may be without Pavelski
KeyStone Press

Kevin Kurz of The Athletic reported today that San Jose Sharks star center has missed the last two team practices, in addition to not having played in last night’s game against the Anaheim Ducks.

There are no details yet regarding the reason behind his absence, so Sharks fans should not begin to panic quite yet; however, any kind of prolonged absence would be troubling for this team.

GM Doug Wilson didn’t manage to replace Patrick Marleau’s lost offense this offseason, so the Sharks will have to hope they stay healthy this season. The long-time Sharks veteran, who signed a contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs this offseason, put up 27 goals for San Jose in 2016-17.

Joe Pavelski posted his lowest goal total (29) in a full 82 game season since the 2010-2011 season, but he still remains one of the top scoring forwards in the NHL over the last 5 years.
