BREAKING : Shocking development following Werenski's injury!

Yesterday's game between the Penguins and the Blue Jackets was the scene of a dramatic sequence where Zach Werenski was badly injured to the face. It was all accidental, but watching the sequence again makes you cringe every time. 

He was back in the game soon after, bloodied and all, and played a couple of shifts before his eye was so swollen he couldn't see clearly. The end result is just crazy. 

He played through the pain because he loves the sport! He earned a lot of praises for his courage, but it seems nature caught up to him. We just learned he will miss the remainder of the Playoffs with a (very painful) facial fracture. 

It's still unclear whether he will need surgery or not, but this kind of injury is long to heal. He will have a few months to do so, but you can bet he won't like it one bit. Werenski is a fierce competitor and the Blue Jackets will miss him dearly.
