According to New York Islanders insider Arthur Staple, a source has informed him that New York Islanders captain John Tavares has had surgery on his right hand. This is not a recent procedure as according to Staple's source the surgery took place last month.
The report also details the fact that Tavares played through an injury in his right hand for most of the season, but he is now expected to make a full recovery and be ready to go come training camp.
