Breaking: Stanley Cup winning goalie signs in KHL

Stanley Cup champion Antti Niemi has officially signed a contract with Jokerit Helsinki of the KHL.

The 35 year old Niemi played just 17 games with the Montreal Canadiens this past season, putting up a 3.78 goals against average and .887 save percentage. Niemi managed 463 starts over his 10 year NHL career and has a 2.57 career goals against average and .912 career save percentage.

He won the Stanley Cup in 2010 with the Chicago Blackhawks, before moving on to play with the San Jose Sharks, Dallas Stars, Pittsburgh Penguins, Florida Panthers and Canadiens.
