It's a bad time to be a goalie in the National Hockey League.

With a number of goaltenders already going down to injury this season including Arizona's Mike Smith, and most notably Jonathan Quick, we now have yet another injury to announce.

According to a report from Boston Bruins head coach Claude Julien, the Bruins number one netminder, Tuukka Rask is merely taking a maintenance day, but insiders are telling a different story.

According to a report from former NHL defenseman Aaron Ward the reality of the situation is that Rask has aggravated an existing injury. Ward reports that the injury is the same as the one suffered in the season opener against the Columbus Blue Jackets, and furthermore Ward reports that it is to Rask's left leg.

Ward is rarely mistaken, and with him providing this level of detail it seems fair to assume he has an inside source within the team leaking this info to him.

More to come.
