It was announced earlier that Gustav Forsling of the Chicago Blackhawks was not present for today's practice at Johnny's IceHouse West in anticipation for tomorrow's game versus the New Jersey Devils.
We now have confirmation that Forsling will not be able to play during tomorrow’s game and we are waiting on answers to see if he can hit the ice this Sunday versus the Los Angeles Kings.
On a more positive note it seems that Andrew Desjardins will be returning to the ice earlier than originally anticipated. Desjardins was placed on IR early on in the season when he sustained an injury while blocking a shot versus the Nashville Predators. He was initially supposed to be out between 4-6 weeks but it seems that he might be back in just a few more days.
Let us hope that Andrew Desjardins recovers quickly so he can return to the ice and join his team as soon as humanly possible.
The Chicago Blackhawks are taking on the New Jersey Devils tomorrow night at the Prudential Center at 7:30 p.m. (ET).
