Breaking: Star player pulled out of the line up at the very last minute.

This comes as a major surprise, all signs seemed to be pointing the other way.

According to a breaking news reporter from TSN hockey insider Bob McKenzie, the Pittsburgh Penguins will be without the services of starting goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury for Game 1 of their first round match up against the New York Rangers on Wednesday night.

It's unclear if this is related to Fleury's previous injury or if something happened today, obviously the Penguins aren't talking. This comes as a major shock as everyone including Rangers head coach Alain Vigneault appeared to believe Fleury would be ready to go.

“We expect Fleury to start,” Vigneault said as per the Toronto Sun. “He’s practiced Monday and Tuesday. He was out on the ice this morning.

“We’re preparing as if he’s going to play.”

A total stunner, and obviously bad news for Pittsburgh.
