We have a trade in the National Hockey League.

The Dallas Stars and the Nashville Predators have made a player for player trade on Saturday afternoon. Nashville acquired 24-year-old centerman and former Chicago Blackhawks' first-round pick Mark McNeill, in exchange of 25-year-old defenseman Andrew O'Brien.

Even though McNeill was selected 18th overall by Chicago back in 2011, he played a grand total of two career NHL games, in which he wasn't able to record a point. He played 18 games in the AHL this season, where he amassed five goals and one assist for six points. He will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.

On the other hand, O'Brien is a former 2012 fourth-round pick, and has never played in the NHL. He will also be a free agent at the end of the season.

More details to come.
