The Dallas Stars officially announced the signing of 3rd overall 2017 draft pick Miro Heiskanen. The Finland born defensemen inked a three year entry level deal worth $925,000 per season. 


According to EliteProspects, Heiskanen is a big two way defensemen with elite potential who is joining an already deep Dallas blue line including John Klingberg, Dan Hamhuis, Marc Methot, Esa Lindell and Julius Honka.
Born in Espoo, Finland, Heiskanen had 12 points in 7 games at the 2017 U-18 World Championship with Finland. An offensive display for the 6'1 D-man who captured a silver medal at the tournament.
