Breaking: Starting goaltender goes down after being undressed on the breakaway.

The timing couldn't possibly be worse.

New Jersey Devils forward Taylor Hall was gifted with a golden opportunity on Thursday night when he found himself alone with Flyers goaltender Steve Mason on the breakaway.

Not only did Hall undress Mason with a disgusting move to score a goal for his team, but he also caused Mason to injure himself on the play as he attempted to sprawl and make the save. Mason would then need the help of trainers to leave the ice and head to the locker room.

The injury comes at a time when many are already having serious doubts about his future both in Philadelphia as well as in the National Hockey League, yet another injury won't be doing his value any favors.
