Breaking: Subban could be suspended for part of this series!

This seems familiar... Remember what happened to Kucherov?

The Nashville Predators were humiliated last night in a 5-1 loss at the hands of the Dallas Stars, who tied the first round series at 2. The Texan team managed to get star goalie Pekka Rinne pulled from the game and frustrated the entire Preds roster with their performance.

They seem to have especially got to defenseman P.K. Subban, who made quite an important mistake during the contest. One that could prompt the NHL Player Safety department to review his actions and suspend him for part of the series.

As you know, during the Tampa Bay Lightning and Columbus Blue Jackets series, star forward Nikita Kucherov suspended for Game 3 for his questionable actions in the second contest of the series. With 4:26 remaining in the 5-1 home loss in Game 2, Kucherov tripped Marcus Nutivaara, who slid into the boards. As the Blue Jackets defenseman tried to get back on his feet, Kucherov hit his head into the boards again.

Last night, Subban pulled a similar move on Stars captain Jamie Benn. As Benn fell to his knees to retrieve the puck in the corner, Subban still went for him and slammed his head into the boards as the Stars forward was in a susceptible position.

As many fans point out: Kucherov was just suspended for the exact same thing…

As of Thursday morning, the NHL Player Safety department has not announced a hearing for the Predators defenseman.

They will have time to review it.

The series switches to Nashville for Game 5 on Saturday afternoon, then back to Dallas for Game 6 on Monday night.

To be continued...
