Breaking: Sweden tops Russia and the World Junior matchups are set

The final game of 2017 in the 2018 World Junior Championships was an epic shootout classic between Sweden and Russia this evening, with the Swedes coming out on top.

With the games all finished, the match ups for the medal rounds have been set and this is how everything shakes down:

USA vs Russia? Yes, please! The Americans will need to best Russia and then either Sweden or Slovakia if they’re going to repeat as gold medalists. As for Canada, they should have a relatively easy opener against Switzerland and then the Czech Republic or Finland on their way to a gold medal.

If everything works out, we could be in store for another USA vs Canada classic in the gold medal game!
