If you're a National Hockey League goaltender you might want to start being a little concerned. After a rash of injuries at the position this season already, we have now had two season ending injuries in as many days.

First it was the Arizona Coyotes who revealed that one of their few remaining options in net Anders Lindback was done for the season, and now it's the Calgary Flames announcing that their #1 goaltender, Karri Ramo, has suffered a torn ACL and as a result his season has come to an end. The Flames also announced there was aditional meniscus damage to Ramo.

This was not a good season for the Flames goaltender, and although he was playing better after a very rough start he ends the season posting a .909 SV% and a 2.63 GAA over 37 games with the Flames, and now this devastating injury will raise some real concerns about his ability to bounce back. The Flames were rumored to be offering one of their goaltenders on the trade market, and this injury could very well put an end to those discussions, as Ramo may have been the most attractive option available. The one silver lining for Calgary is the fact that Ramo is in the final year of his contract and will not impact their cap long term.
