Breaking: Team Canada loses another superstar on it's roster.

Team Canada has suffered another major loss to it's World Cup of Hockey roster.

Just one day after it was announced that Dallas Stars' forward Jamie Benn would not participate in the tournament, a report from Chicago Blackhawks insider Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune is reporting that defenseman Duncan Keith will also miss the tournament.

“As Duncan continues offseason rehabilitation on the right knee injury that he sustained last season, we understand his decision not to participate in next month’s World Cup of Hockey," Hawks team physician Michael Terry said in a statement. "We believe it is in his best interests to focus on getting stronger and not risk further injury.”

Much like Jamie Benn, Keith as been recovering from an offseason injury and one has to wonder whether or not his team had significant input in regards to his participation in the tournament.
