Hot on the heels of their announcement of Sean Burke as general manager, Hockey Canada has unveiled its coaching staff for the upcoming Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

Former Vancouver Canucks head coach Willie Desjardins has been tabbed as the team’s head coach and he’ll be joined by assistant coaches Dave King, Scott Walker, and Craig Woodcroft.

The experienced group has a tough task ahead of them if Canada is to claim a gold medal for the third consecutive Olympic Games. With the NHL opting not to participate in this year’s events, roster decisions and lineup deployments are mostly a mystery. Fairly or not, most of the responsibility in returning to the podium as gold medalists lies squarely on the shoulders of these men.
