First rounder healthy scratch tonight

An early report from Brock Seguin suggest that former first rounder Anthony Mantha is going to be healthy scratch tonight.

Mantha is a first rounder (20th overall) on the 2013  NHL entry draft. He played 50 games this year with the Wings. He scored 14 goals and registered 19 assists for a total of 33 points.

The 6ft5, 204-pound right winger said he was surprised but understood after talking with Blashill … needs to compete consistently. Riley Sheahan is expected to take his place on the second line.
