BREAKING: Teams Call Up Veteran Goalie for the Last Season Stretch

Now this move could change the playoffs race portraits in the Eastern Conference as the New York Islanders are 2 points away from a playoff spot.

An early report from the official New York Islanders twitter account confirms that Jaroslav Halak has been recalled from loan (Bridgeport).

Halak, player 21 games this seasons in the NHL before he was sent down to Ioan. He won 6 games and lost 8 games. He kept a save percentage of 0.904. It appears to be a matter of time before the Isles call him up as he was burning the AHL league lately.

Jaroslav Halak, 31-years-old, played 27 games with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. He won 17 games and lost 7 games. He kept a save percentage of 0.925.

Halak is expected to join his teammates as early as today in Pittsburgh. No confirmation yet if he’ll play though.
