BREAKING: Terrible consequences ahead after the NHL Olympics decision yesterday.

“Players will be coming home to KHL this off-season.”

The National Hockey League has made a shocking and disappointing announcement yesterday as the confirmed they will not participate in the 2018 Olympics Games in PyeongChang.

After months of this issue hanging over the heads of fans, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman confirmed the news and added that he now considers the matter officially closed. This might be the end of the conflict between the NHL and the Olympic committee, but it’s surely not the end of it between the players and the NHL as many of them (Ovechkin) clearly showed their intention to go no matter what.

 The decision already seems to have terrible consequences as KHL insider Aivis Kalkins reported, “Vladislav Tretjak believes that multiple Russian players will be coming home to KHL this off-season.” This morning.
