BREAKING: The Dallas Stars reportedly hired highly praised Head Coach.

On Sunday, the Dallas Stars GM announced Lindy Ruff will not return as coach of the Dallas Stars after the team went from the Western Conference’s top seed last year to missing the playoffs this season.

Mark Spector, senior columnist for sporstnet.ca, confirmed the rumor Hockey Feed reported yesterday: Hitchcock will return to coach the Dallas Stars. The Stars obviously was granted permission from the St. Louis Blues to speak to Hitchcock  

Hitchcock’s been hired by the St-Louis Blues on Nov. 8, 2011. However, before the season started, he announced it was his last season as Mike Yeo was already around the team to eventually took the lead of the St-Louis Blue. Things went a little faster as Hitchcock has been fired before ending his contract and Yeo took the vacant seat left by Hitchcock.
