The Detroit Red Wings have reportedly made a deal to trade their first round pick in this draft, number sixteen overall.

It's a huge move for the Red Wings, and frankly a solid one from general manager Ken Holland, who have freed themselves from the massive cap hit of Pavel Datsyul in the process.

The Red Wings gave up number sixteen and Datsyuk's contract and in return will receive Joe Vitale as well as the twentieth pick in draft and a second round pick, the fifty-third from the Arizona Coyotes.

Arizona jumped up in the draft and selected Jakob Chychrun.
