The 2017-18 season has not started yet and one story has already been told too many times. Since the beginning of the summer, forward Matt Duchene has found himself on the trading block as the Colorado Avalanche is still waiting for the perfect offer to complete a deal.
Duchene showed up at camp on Thursday, and looked unhappy to be back with the club who has not traded him due to its high demands. He refused to answer questions on the situation, but NHL insider Darren Dreger appears to have good news for the 26-year-old.
According to Dreger, a trade could happen before the end of the weekend!
The Avalanche needs to turn the page to ensure a better result that last season's. Some changes could do the team, and Duchene, some good. The Columbus Blue Jackets, Nashville Predators and Montreal Canadiens have reportedly showed interest in Duchene.
Patience has been needed, but it could all come to an end... finally!
