Breaking: The Golden Knights have reportedly hired their first ever head coach.

We reported on the rumors floating around the National Hockey League about a possible head coaching favorite for Las Vegas this morning, and now hours later the Golden Knights may have confirmed the rumors in spectacular fashion.

According to a breaking news report from Sportsnet the Las Vegas Golden Knights are "expected to name Gerard Gallant" as the first head coach of the Golden Knights franchise tomorrow at noon.

Sin.Bin Vegas was the first to report that the announcement would come Thursday at noon, and that was quickly followed by Sportsnet insider Elliote Friedman reporting that this announcement had "Gerard Gallant written all over it. Their first head coach."

This appears to be a done deal, and Gerard Gallant is the first ever coach of the Las Vegas Golden Knights.
