It's still a rumor but it sounds like the Jacob Trouba saga is about to come to a close.

According to a report from Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman, Trouba has reportedly agreed to sign a two-year deal with an average annual value of $3 million. It's unclear if he is signing with the Jets or if his rights are being traded and he is signing elsewhere at this time, but Friedman says he is hearing the signing is with the Jets in Winnipeg.

We will update this story as the news develops so stay tuned.

Update: James Mirtle is reporting that it's $2.5 million in the first year and $3.5 million in the second year. This certainly looks like a deal designed to make a trade easier to swallow in the immediate future.
