A big suspension for Marchand.
It is now official, Boston Bruins forward will not be participating in the Winter Classic where his Bruins will be taking on long time rivals, the Montreal Canadiens.
Marchand was given a tough punishment on Wednesday night when the league announced that he would be suspended for the next three games after his dangerous low bridge interference on Ottawa Senator Mark Borowiecki.
As has become tradition with suspensions that span across several games, the Nation Hockey League's Department of Player Safety has released a video detailing why they made the decision to suspended Marchand, and why they felt three games was appropriate.
