Following the advice from the Center for Disease Control, the NHL just announced that journalists and other media people will no longer be allowed in the teams' locker rooms until further notice...

This is the first concrete and drastic measure the NHL has taken amidst rising fears surrounding the virus that is currently taking the world by storm.

Earlier this week, the county of Santa Clara, in California, recommended that the Sharks cancelled their game against the Minnesota Wild, but the Sharks didn't follow the advice.

"Starting today, @NHL will close dressing rooms to media, on recommendation of Centers for Disease Control (@CDCgov) in effort to stop the spread of coronavirus. NBA, MLB + MLS are expected to follow. Media availabilities will be conducted in formal press conference area." -Elliotte Friedman
