Breaking: The Oilers have acquired a brand new goaltender.

The Edmonton Oilers announced a pair of signings on Monday.

First, the team has announced the acquisition of NCAA goaltender Shane Starrett, and furthermore have signed him to a two-year entry level National Hockey League contract,

Starett has spent the past two seasons playing for Air Force Academy in college and put up very stellar numbers in both seasons. In his most recent campaign Starett appeared in 37 games, acquiring a 1.99 goals against average and .925 save percentage.

The Oilers also announced the signing of Ziyat Paigin, their 7th round pick in the 2015 NHL entry draft, also to a two-year entry level deal.
