The NHL Draft Lottery took place on Saturday night, leaving some fans elated, while others disappointed.
The Toronto Maple Leafs won the Lottery and now own the No. 1 pick at the 2016 NHL Draft in Buffalo on June 24.
The second overall pick was awarded to the Winnipeg Jets and the third overall to the Columbus Blue Jackets.
The Leafs now have the means to draft American-born phenom Auston Matthews first overall, something all Leafs fans were hoping for.
