The Edmonton Oilers young star is terribly unlucky. After suffering an eye injury during the game against the Winnipeg Jets on Monday, Leon Draisaitl is also out with concussion symptoms, coach Todd McLelland has reported on Saturday.

The Oilers are set to face the Ottawa Senators later tonight, but will have to handle this bad news that turned for the worst in just a few days.

Draisaitl agreed to an eight-year extension back in August. Other than two healthy scratches in his rookie year, Draisaitl had never missed a game with the Oilers, with whom he had played in 154 consecutive games plus a further 13 in the playoffs.

Now just three games into that huge $68-million deal, Draisaitl has been sidelined with a serious head injury...

Though Draisailt finished the game on Monday, many believe that the injury took place when he was hit by Jacob Trouba:

Now the word concussion is sending a chill down the spine of Oilers’ fans...
