Breaking: the worst is confirmed for Weber...

Montreal Canadiens head coach Claude Julien has revealed some updates on the status of star defenseman Shea Weber, and the news is not good. 

Weber, who has missed the last six games since being “shut down for a bit” by Julien in an effort to help Weber heal from a lingering foot injury that has reportedly been plaguing him since the start of the season, is expected to miss an extended period of time and not return until after the All-Star break at the end of the month. 

The veteran defenseman previously missed a six-game stretch at the end of November.

The Canadiens have struggled without their top blue liner, going 2-5 in his absence as their troublesome season continues.

And now it seems it will take longer before they get his help back... Weber is still wearing a walking boot. 

Sorry Habs fans, so far 2018 is jus as bad as 2017...
