Breaking: Three teams trying to trade for “All-Star” goaltender.

Yesterday we reported on the fact that Arizona Coyotes general manager John Chayka was willing to trade his number one goaltender, and now we have even more information to suggest that deal may very well happen soon.

“There’s a value to our team that Mike has, being an All-Star and our rock," said Chayka. "His value is extremely high but if someone wants to pay an even higher value for him, that’s the industry.”

During a Wednesday segment of Insider Trade, TSN insider Pierre LeBrun confirmed that at least three National Hockey League teams have contacted the Coyotes about acquiring goaltender Mike Smith.

While LeBrun did not name all three teams, he did specifically mention that the Calgary Flames where one of those three teams.
