For the past few weeks, only one name was often placed on waivers, but on Thursday two players were placed on there, while one was claimed.

Minnesota Wild general manager Chuck Fletcher today announced that his club claimed defenseman Nate Prosser off waivers from the St. Louis Blues. The 31-year-old took part in one game with St. Louis this season, registering four hits in 15:23 of ice time against Calgary on Oct. 25

Then, the Washington Capitals placed forward Nathan Walker, the first Australian to play in the NHL. In seven games with the Caps, he recorded a goal.

As for the Buffalo Sabres, they placed defenseman Matt Tennyson on the waiver wire. He was unable to record a point in 14 games with the Sabres this season.

The other two players that were placed on waivers Wednesday, Jordin Tootoo of the Chicago Blackhawks and Kyle Quincey of the Wild, have not been claimed and will report to the respective farm clubs.
